Financial Assistance
Financial aid is available to students in the form of scholarships, student loans, and student employment.

General ScholarshipsAwards for full time degree seeking students are apportioned in two parts: 1) a tuition scholarship and 2) a work award or research assistantship. Students who receive a graduate assistantship receive the scholarship, a work award, and sometimes a living stipend.

A Faith and the Common Good Scholarship covering full tuition is awarded each year to one student who meets the criteria. - Obsculta Essay Contest is $6,000 renewable scholarship sponsored by the School of Theology for college juniors and seniors. Obsculta Essay Contest Description
- Special scholarships are available to members of the Youth in Theology & Ministry (YTM) Cohort.
- A donor-designated fund provides scholarships for monastic seminarians which reduces the cost of tuition by 60%.
- Deacon candidates from the Diocese of St. Cloud are eligible for special scholarships through a partnership with the St. Cloud diaconate program.
Student Loans
Student loans are available to degree-seeking students who are enrolled at least half-time. Students must file the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA) to be considered for loans. The FAFSA can be filed online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for questions regarding student loans. Phone: 320-363-3664.
Graduate Assistantship
Graduate Assistantship: There are three purposes for a graduate assistantship: a) to provide students with an opportunity for ministerial or other skill development, while completing a degree in graduate theological study; b) to provide opportunities for discernment of vocational interest and competence; and c) to provide students with experience to foster full time employment upon graduation. Positions range from 15 to 20 hours per week.
Th.M. Research Assistantship
Th.M. Research Assistantship: The purpose of the Th.M. Research Assistantships is to provide Th.M. students with opportunities to assist faculty with their research and foster a mentoring relationship with faculty that will increase the student’s research skills and understanding of theological scholarship. Positions range from 8-10 hours per week. (These positions are only available to students who have been accepted into the Th.M. degree program). Student Employment
Part-time jobs are available on campus for our students. Work awards range 8 to 20 hours of work per week. Wages may be used to pay for tuition, room and board costs or for personal expenses. Three types of student employment are available for School of Theology·Seminary students.
School of Theology·Seminary Student Employment: The purpose of a School of Theology·Seminary student work award is to provide students with opportunities to defray the cost of their graduate education while assisting staff with the ongoing work of the school.
