Solar Field

Saint John's partnered with Westwood Renewables, a Minnesota-based company that specializes in solar electric development, design, and education, to construct the solar power field in fall of 2009. With 1,820 modules on 3.9 acres, the solar array will produce roughly 575,000 kWh annually, or about 4% of Saint John's energy needs on an annual basis. In perfect conditions, up to 20% of our real-time energy demand will be produced.
