St. John's Emergency Medical Technician Squad
The Saint John's EMT Squad provides emergency medical services for the Saint John's Community 24 hours a day while classes are in session.
Saint John's EMT Squad is made up of CSB/SJU students, staff and members of the Saint John's Monastery who volunteer their time and talents. Each member has completed Emergency Medical Technician or First Responder training and is capable of providing basic level life support (BLS).
To request aid from the EMT's dial 911 from any campus phone or x2144.
- Give the 911 dispatcher all the information that they request.
- Our average response time is 1.5 minutes.
- Ambulance fees are the responsibility of the patient and his or her insurance.
Each semester SJU EMTs volunteer over 6000 hours to the Saint John's Community; responding to over 135 requests for service. Additionally, SJU EMTs staff all large on-campus events like football games, concerts and graduation.
