Fr. Giles Nathe Grant for Missionary Service
Purpose
Established in 1974, this endowment provides financial assistance to current students or recent graduates of Saint John's University who desire to pursue domestic or international missionary service. Recipients receive a stipend for travel and incidental expenses related to their service.
What is Mission?
Elizabeth Neville, Director of the Diocese of St. Cloud Office of Mission, explains Catholic Mission this way:
"Mission has changed over the last decade... it is not only about going to a third world country and fixing something. Mission has become about partnering, learning, and sharing from and with our brothers and sisters of the global church, exchanging of people and their giftedness as we build the kingdom of God together..."
