Solar Tours
Guide: John O'Reilly Asst. Director of Environmental Education, St. John's Arboretum

The solar array at Saint John's is the first highly visible step in achieving carbon neutrality. It demonstrates our commitment to the American College and Universities President's Climate Commitment and to the Benedictine value of stewardship. Saint John's hopes this large scale project will pave the way for clean energy in Minnesota. John O'Reilly will guide you through the energy fields while giving background on the Saint John's project and provide some information on the use of solar power today.
Times: 10-10:30 a.m., 10:35-11:05 a.m. and 11:10 until noon.
The third tour at 11:10 is the most in-depth tour and is suggested for parties with prior involvement or knowledge of the solar power process.

Location: Before tour please meet outside the St. John's Great Hall (near the Abbey), SJU. Transportation is provided. Find out more about renewable energy.
