Rachel Holzknecht

I'm Rachel, a third-year sophomore communication major focusing on journalistic writing. I love my job at the CSB Bookstore and consider myself very blessed to have been offered a position here where I can talk with other students about what I enjoy most. A few of my favorite things include knitting, coffee, sushi, cereal, bonfires, good friends and good conversations; but above all, I feel most fulfilled when communicating through writing. It allows me to express my thoughts and ideas more effectively than I could ever speak them aloud. To me, there's nothing better than finding just the right words to convey all the mind's complexities. I want to inspire others to love the craft of writing as much as I do or, at the least, not feel inhibited by their ability to express thoughts through written word. Favorite books: "Perfect Girls, Starving Daughters" and "The Great Gatsby"
