Andrea Tobias
Year: Rising Junior
Major(s)/Minor(s): Biology, Pre-Physical Therapy, Psychology Minor
Activities and clubs on campus: Orientation Coordinator 2011!! Blazer Sports Medicine Assistant, St. Ben's Dance Team, Clemens Perk Barista, Joints Event Council Traditions Committee, Physical Therapy/Athletic Training Club, and CSB Eucharistic Minister.
If you could be any food, what would it be? Why?: Frozen yogurt because there are many types of flavors and I would never get bored!
Favorite part of the orientation experience OR why I'm an orientation coordinator: CSB/SJU is more than a school, it is a community. I noticed this the first day of my Orientation. Being an Orientation Coordinator allows me to continue the tradition of holding an amazing Orientation; plus I get to experience it all over again! Some of my top CSB/SJU memories are from Orientation!
Bridget Reilly
Year: Rising Senior
Major(s)/Minor(s): Biology and Hispanic Studies, Pre-Physician's Assistant
Activities and clubs on campus: Orientation Coordinator 2011, St. Ben's Senate, Up 'til Dawn executive board, Benedictine Friends, Alpha Kappa Sigma Sorority, Alternative Break Experience, Pre-Med Club, and Spanish Club. I also work for Fine Arts Programming and I am a hospice care assistant.
If you could be any food, what would it be? Why?: I would be a sushi roll. In a typical roll there is rice, seaweed and some sort of fish but there are so many variations. This describes who I am because, based on my personality type, I am a very adaptable person with a variety of qualities. Mixed with a little soy sauce and wasabi, some days I have a little more flavor and kick to me :).
Favorite part of the orientation experience OR why I'm an orientation coordinator:I absolutely LOVE St. Ben's and as a first year I had an AMAZING transition from high school to college life-thanks to the Orientation team! During orientation it is so fun to see each group come together and go through the scary process of becoming a college student because towards the end of the experience it is evident that they have already started to resemble true Bennies and Johnnies! The first few days of orientation are essential as the first years are joining the CSB/SJU community and learning all about our Benedictine values.. as well as where the bathrooms are!! The orientation leaders are lots of fun and great to work with! GET READY FOR THE BEST ORIENTATION YET... ORIENTATION 2011!!!!
Tony Civello
Year: Rising Senior
Major(s)/Minor(s): English Major, Secondary Education Minor
Activities and clubs on campus:Orientation Coordinator 2011, SJU Hockey, Magis, Outskirts Snow Crew, Avid CSB-SJU intramural sports participant.
If you could be any food, what would it be? Why?: Pizza because even bad pizza is good pizza- it's hard to mess up.
Favorite part of the orientation experience OR why I'm an orientation coordinator:I truly believe that this school is an incredible place with amazing people. I wanted to get involved in orientation immediately after I finished orientation as a first-year. My OLs were really cool people and I wanted to give back to first-years to do my best to make sure they enjoyed this great place right away and got off to college on the right foot. Orientation is an exceptional program and I'm grateful to be able to help make Orientation 2011 the best one ever! Welcome class of 2015!
Jake Ingalls
Year: Rising Senior
Major(s)/Minor(s): Business Leadership
Activities and clubs on campus: Orientation Coordinator 2011, Johnnie Blend, Men's Chorus, Johnnie Java Barista, SJU Intramural Participant/Coach, Men of Benedict, Avid watcher of Jersey Shore
If you could be any food, what would it be? Why?: Chicken pot pie because you may think I am a normal pot pie on the outside... but when you dig deeper you find something fresh, new and original and awesome. And I do love gravy!
Favorite part of the orientation experience OR why I'm an orientation coordinator: My FAVORITE part of the orientation experience is watching our community come together as all the new first years start to find their and embark on this fantastic new journey. It seems such a short time ago that I was starting my journey and I am envious of everyone who is only just beginning. If you see me imitating a first year, trying to experience this all again, don't be surprised.
