Brody Chirpich
Brody Chirpich is an Ambassador who studied abroad in Greece and Rome.

Briefly describe a specific cultural experience you had on your trip that made a lasting impression.
Staying at a vineyard outside of Montalcino, where we just roamed the town during the day, just soaking up the beauty of the surrounding area of Tuscany. Besides that we tried several ethnic foods and were there when a small parade went through the town.
Why did you choose the program in which you participated?
As a history major with a background knowledge of Latin I knew that I wanted to put said knowledge to the best use, so the Greco-Roman program seemed ideal.
Describe your overall study abroad experience.
As a once in the lifetime opportunity to explore multiple country when you don't need to plan everything else yourself and will be taught by experts on location in fascinating subjects.
How has the trip affected you? How are you different for having completed the experience?
I feel that the trip has made me feel more comfortable in large cities, something that I didn't have growing up in a small farming community. It has also helped me to be easier going and laugh at the little uncontrollable things that go wrong in life instead of getting deeply upset.
What advice do you have for future Study Abroad Students?
Bring an umbrella, don't let finances hold you back from experiences, learn to enjoy the small moments.
