Brandon Felde
Brandon Felde is an ambassador who studied abroad in Greece and Rome.

Briefly describe a specific cultural experience you had on your trip that made a lasting impression.
When I was in Greece, a few friends and I were a part of one of the largest riots in the country's history. I'll always remember the passion and fear in the rioters eyes as they fought for what they believed in.
Why did you choose the program in which you participated?
I wanted to experience the world and learn about different cultures besides the Western one's we've become so accustomed to. I chose the Greco/Roman program, because they were two countries that had really jump started Western civilization and I had really wanted to experience all the history behind the two countries.
Describe your overall study abroad experience.
The best four months of my life. Literally, that's all there is to it. I experienced so much and saw so many things that will impact my life forever. I wouldn't swap those four months for anything.
How has the trip affected you? How are you different for having completed the experience?
It has made me much more confident in my abilities to "make it" in unfamiliar situations- to be able to travel to any country and not curl up into a little pathetic ball, but instead hit the ground running.
What advice do you have for future Study Abroad Students?
Don't worry about how much money you are or are going to spend. Just do it. The things you'll do and places you'll see will stay with you for a lifetime, and regretting what you did not do will eat at you just as long.
