Policy on Transfer Students

Admission to the Nursing Major is highly competitive.

1. For the purpose of acceptance to the Nursing Major at CSB/SJU, transfer students are those who will complete the degree in less than 4 years of full-time study at CSB/SJU. If you have transfer credits and progress through the CSB/SJU program in at least four years of full-time study, you are not considered a transfer student.
2. High school students graduating with advanced placement (AP) or postsecondary option credits (PSEO) are not considered transfer students as long as that student will still be at CSB/SJU for four years.
3. Qualifying transfer students will be considered for acceptance on a space available basis after qualifying students who have completed their prerequisite courses at CSB/SJU.
