New International Students - Fall 2012
Welcome to the College of Saint Benedict & Saint Johns University
Congratulations on your admission to the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University! We are excited for you to become part of our community. This coming fall, more than 70 new students from almost every continent are joining CSB/SJU. This class represents 19 different countries. We are proud of our diverse student body and know you will be an outstanding addition to our campus.
The International Students Program Office will help you adjust to life and school in the United States. All new International Students are expected to arrive on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012. Please go to the Enrolled Student Portal to complete all of the necessary forms including the Arrival Form. This will allows us to know when you will arrive to campus so we can be there to greet you and take you to your room.
Please make your travel arrangements so that you can arrive in time to attend our International Student Orientation, which will begin on Thursday, August 23rd, 2012. It is in this orientation that you will meet the International Orientation Mentors who will help you with your transition to the United States and to CSB/SJU. During our orientation, you will also meet people from different offices that will explain and answer any questions you likely have. In addition, you will meet with your Academic Advisor who will go through your class schedule with you.
First year students from the United States will begin moving into their rooms on Sunday, August 26th, 2012. We encourage all new students to go to the first year orientation sessions that will begin on Monday, August 27th, and will continue until the first day of classes, Wednesday, August 29th, 2012.
We extend to you our best wishes for a pleasant trip to Minnesota and trust you will find your stay at CSB/SJU to be both challenging and rewarding. We look forward to meeting you during orientation!
