Privilege Workshop
2012-2013
The Intercultural Center (IC) Privilege Workshops are designed to promote peer-to-peer discussion to address privilege and race relations within the context of the mainstream culture--both on campus and at a national level. The utilization of media clips, film showings, case studies, etc. will drive discussions that aim to increase the awareness of and the reality of privilege, in particular white privilege, and its consequences. Furthermore, by providing intimate and a safe setting for discussion, the Privilege Workshops also intends to make the topics of race, privilege and culture more approachable and less taboo on campus.
