Mentorship Program

Mission

The Intercultural Center Mentorship Program (ICMP) aims to promote intercultural awareness, interaction and inclusion by facilitating the transition of new students into the CSB/SJU community, particularly American Students of Color (ASOC). The ICMP aspires to foster respect and celebrate a myriad of cultures in the CSB/SJU community.

Purpose

The Intercultural Center Mentorship Program will assist American Students of Color in the transition to college by introducing social, communal and intercultural aspects of CSB/SJU. This program will welcome incoming students into the CSB/SJU community, which will give the mentees tools to increase intercultural competency.

The ICMP will assist incoming students in the transition to college by introducing social, communal and intercultural aspects of CSB/SJU as an extension of the Intercultural Center outreach effort. This program will welcome students into the CSB/SJU community through programming developed by the Intercultural Center in conjunction with other academic and administrative departments, clubs and organizations. The ICMP will design activities such as community building, informational programs and mentor/mentee sessions so participants may realize their potential within our amazing community.
