What is Islamophobia?

  • Islamophobia is defined as a fear or anxiety of both Muslim and Islamic people. It has spread since the events of 9/11, but actually dates back to the late 1980's. It may seem like a typical American sense of fear, but it has in fact spread worldwide. Islamophobia has led to the shunning and killing of innocent Islamic people globally, and is unfair and unjust. To combat this phobia along with the unjust actions that go along with it, many people, both Islamic and not, have protested to make a change for the better.
