"Why is Guante so Angry?" Guante, a hip-hop and spoken word artist, brings to light his views on society and politics for all to hear.

Guante infuses the realities of working-class identity and social justice with magical realism. He has been featured in URB Magazine as one of the "Next 1000," as an artist of the year in City Pages, and in CMJ and the Progressive. As City Pages puts it in "Best of 2009," "Whether writing of lost causes or zombie apocalypses, Guante demonstrates impeccable artistic control; in performance, he has the audience's undivided attention."
