The program offers three semesters of language for the common curriculum requirement (Spanish 111, 112, and 211). The common curriculum focuses mainly on learning Spanish and understanding Hispanic cultures. All language classes give ample attention to the diversity of Spanish, Latin-American, and Latino cultures as well.
The program for majors and minors in Spanish, includes a wide range of courses in the 300 series in literature, culture and linguistics, as well as an introductory Hispanic Studies class.
In addition to the many courses on language, literature, and culture, we offer a wide spectrum of complementary programs abroad.
