Dessa
Dessa, part of the hip-hop collective Doomtree, is a rapper, poet, and spoken word artist. Her work examines the nuances of the human condition with wit, tenderness, and candor.
Part rap show, part cabaret, Dessa's performances have earned praise form audiences and critics alike. Dessa has emerged on the national scene as a potent, imaginative lyricist and philosopher.
Launched into the underground spotlight after releasing her debut album, A Badly Broken Code, Dessa returned with Castor the Twin, a softer, more organic version of her best material so far.
