Environmental Studies Major - 53 credits required

Environmental Studies - 9 credits required

  • ENVR 150: Introduction to Environmental Studies (4 credits)
  • ENVR 395: Research Seminar (4 credits)
  • ENVR 397: Internship in Environmental Studies (1 credit)

Math & Science - 16 credits required

  • MATH 124: Probability and Statistical Inference (4 credits) or Applied Behavioral Statistics (4 credits)
  • ENVR 175: Integrated Environmental Science I (4 credits)
  • ENVR 275: Integrated Environmental Science II (4 credits)
  • BIOL 334: General Ecology (4 credits)

Social Science - 8 credicts required

Students in the class of 2014 and later should follow the new minor requirements.

Environmental Studies - 12 credits required

  • ENVR 275: Integrated Environmental Science II (4 credits)

Note: Minors who are majoring in a natural science may choose to substitute the complete introductory Biology and Chemistry sequence for ENVR 175/275. The entire sequence must be completed for the substitution to be approved:

  • BIOL 121, 221, and 222
  • CHEM 125 and 234

Minors majoring in a natural science must take all their ENVR electives outside the sciences.

Minor electives - 12 credits required

The three elective courses must be taken outside the student's major field of study and must include at least two courses at the 300 level. The list of approved courses below is not comprehensive; consult with your adviser or the department chair if you have questions about approved electives.
