Conservatives and Liberals on the Issues, Initial Campus-Wide Survey
Students completing the initial campus-wide survey were asked to choose among five ideological categories: liberal, conservative, middle-of-the-road, “I don’t have strong views,” and “my views don’t fit easily into the labels of ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative.’” Though the latter two groups are not included in the chart below, their responses were generally similar to those of middle-of-the-road students. The t-values and p-values are based on a comparison of conservative and liberal students.
