Overview

The Center for Global Education's two offices, the Office of Education Abroad and The Office of Global Programming work cooperatively to advance the mission of the Center for Global Education. Each office is responsible for specific programs and projects.

Office for Education Abroad Programs (OEA) administers CSB/SJU's semester international study programs, oversees external study abroad programs, and helps coordinate faculty-led short-term international programs. The Office for Global Programming (OGP) manages:

The Global Hub - Info Central for Global Happenings at CSB/SJU The Global Hub is the central calendar and information resource for international and global-related programs and events across the CSB/SJU campuses. Get The Global Hub and get global!

Global Campus -- Events & Programs. CollaborationsOGP facilitates collaborations among departments, offices, student organizations and other campus entities in order to maximize the impact of CSB/SJU-sponsored international and global-related programming.Co-sponsorship & Funding: In addition to sponsoring its own programs, OGP co-sponsors speakers, conferences and other events that fit within CGE's mission and meet specific criteria.

Global Experiential Programs -- bringing the world to CSB/SJU and sending students and faculty across the globe with:

Summer Global Practicum - international internship, research, and other experiential learning opportunities for current students and graduating seniors.

Teaching in Asia - links seniors and recent graduates seeking teaching positions with CSB/SJU-vetted institutions and programs in Asia.

Global Faculty - A competitive program that funds faculty/staff travel for the purpose of developing globalized curricula and collaborative research.

Global Institute - Short-term programs at CSB/SJU for international students from Chile, China, India, Japan, South Africa and elsewhere around the world.

Global Classroom information, support and resources for other departments seeking to develop international curriculum components. -
