Asian Studies

Interdisciplinary Program Director:
P. Richard Bohr

As America becomes increasingly involved in Asia, the Asian Studies Program offers CSB/SJU students a unique opportunity to prepare themselves for personal and professional involvement with the Pacific Century.

The Asian Studies Program provides an interdisciplinary and multicultural spectrum of courses taught by experienced faculty in art, history, language (Chinese and Japanese), literature, philosophy, religion and politics. Course work is complemented by international education programs in China and Japan; campus activities organized by the Asian Students Association and the China Club; proximity to ever-growing Asian-American communities; and career exploration links with area business, educational, civic, governmental and cultural institutions.
