Why did you choose CSB/SJU?

CSB/SJU was my first choice and only choice for attending college.  I had heard so many good things about this college and when I visited, I knew it was the place for me.  The dance team was a major part in deciding where to attend college.  They have a great program and my senior year in High School the Platinum team got 2nd at nationals.  After I saw their dance at the dance competition they held, I knew that was what I wanted to be a part of.  St. Ben's has a great academic program and dance program and those were the two aspects of college that I was really looking at.  Now, as a senior, I'm living my dream of graduating from a great Liberal Arts college and being a part of the College of Saint Benedict Platinum Dance Team.

What do you like about being a college-level athlete?

I wouldn't change anything about being a college-level "club sport athlete." It has motivated me to do well and stay involved throughout my entire college career. I have met and bonded with about 50 new girls each year who share the common gift of dance as a hobby. One of the great things about St. Ben's and the St. Ben's Dance team is that there is opportunity to juggle and excel in both education and dance while still incorporating other activities in one's schedule. Being a college athlete has made my college career unforgettable and amazing!

What I love most about CSB/SJU:

I love the sense of community found on the St. Ben's and St. John's campuses. The unique dynamic of the two campuses offers endless opportunities for fun, learning and growth. There are so many traditions embedded within the  CSB/SJU community- Thanksgiving dinner at SJU, Johnnie Football, Christmas Dinner at CSB, Pinestock, Christmas tree assembly in the Great Hall.. the list goes on and on. There are so many things about CSB/SJU that I love, this community truly is unlike any other!
