CPR/First Aid/AED Classes
Campus Recreation offers Basic CPR/First Aid/AED American Red Cross certification courses for CSB/SJU students throughout the academic year. This is a 2-year certification. Class offerings (dates, times) are posted on this site. These classes are NOT for individuals going into the medical field who need the Professional Rescuer Certification. Please contact the Nursing Department, the local American Red Cross or American Heart Association Chapters for these class offerings.
CLASSES OFFERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AT CSB:
Basic CPR/FA/AED certification - for those who have never been certified before, or for those whose certifications have expired. This is a 5-hour course. Cost $45/person.
CPR/FA/AED Refresher - for those who are currently certified but need to refresh their skills to recertify. This is a 3-hour course. Cost $30/person.
CPR/FA/AED Challenge - for those who are currently certified and confident in their skills. No instruction will be given. You can come in, go through 2-3 scenerios and demonstrate skills/responses accordingly. This is a pass/fail to become re-certified. Failure to perform skills properly will mean that you would have to challenge again on another date or complete the refresher course. Cost $15/person. Contact Marcia Mahlum to set up a time and date.
