Minneapolis, MN

March 23rd-30th, 2013
2012 group

The goal of this trip is to raise awareness of various issues regarding women which are present in Minnesota. The participants will be working with Breaking Free while staying in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for the week. The organization will allow the participants to learn about the people they work with, the issues they face, and the goals of the organization.

What to Expect:

  • Cost: Each ABE trip costs $325.
  • Travel: Participants will drive to the Minneapolis area together in a minibus. The minibus will also be used to get to and from work each day.
  • Lodging: The group will stay at the Benedictine Center of St. Paul's Monestary. Participants will stay in double occupancy rooms with linens provided. Participants have said their time with the Sisters is one of the highlights of the trip!
  • Food: The group will share breakfast and dinner with the Sisters of the monastery. Lunch will be purchased with money given to the Co-Leaders of the trip.
  • Work:  The group will work with Breaking Free. Past participants have found this trip to be emotionally challenging. You should be prepared for this experience.
