March 26, 2012

Sap Collection: We will keep you posted if the cooler temperatures this week produce any sap to collect.

Over 400 people attended the Maple Syrup festival this past Saturday, making it a great event once again this year. Thank you to everyone who made it possible! If you didn't have a chance to join us, there is always this Saturday!

Sap Collection: No sap collection today, as we are saving it up for the festival tomorrow. We hope to see you all there!

Sap Collection: No sap collection today. Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday, we couldn't do it without you!

Sap Cooking: The crew has been out at the Sugar Shack cooking sap all day today. FYI: There has been around 30-40 gallons of syrup bottled this season.

Sap Collection: Volunteers needed today from 3:00-5:00pm. Please join us at the Sugar Shack if you are able to lend a hand.

Sap Cooking: The evaporator will also be fired up today, so you can see the whole process!

Sap Collection: There will be no volunteer sap collection today.

We have put out around 1,100 taps this year,  and today the sap bags are almost overflowing!

Sap Collection: There is sap collection today from 3-5 pm. Never helped before? Just show up at the sugar shack and we will put you to work. Directions available here. Thank you for your help and cooperation during this busy maple syrup season!

Festival Volunteers:  We still have room for 10 volunteers for the 12-2:30 shift and 10 volunteers for the 2:30-5:00 shift. Please let John O'Reilly know if you are available (joreilly@csbsju.edu, 320.363.2136).
