Transfer Students

Admission Criteria

A student is considered a transfer student if they have completed any college coursework from a post-secondary institution after graduating from high school. Students who have credits earned through Post Secondary Enrollment Option should apply as high school senior applicants.

To be considered for admission, a student must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in common transferable courses and meet a level of math proficiency consistent with the standards set by CSB/SJU.

A student who has not yet completed 28 semester credits will be evaluated on both high school and college performance.

Transfer application process:

1. Complete an application for admission. Transfer students can choose between two different applications:

  • Use the CSB/SJU GET INspired Application if you are not applying to any of the other member institutions of the Common Application. The GET INspired Application is the quickest and easiest way to apply. There are three versions for your convenience: an online application, a fillable PDF version, or you may request a hard copy.
  • If you are applying to one or more of the other Common Application member institutions, you might find it more efficient to use the Common Application to apply to CSB/SJU.

2. Complete our Transfer Evaluation Form (fillable/downloadable PDF).

3. Remember to include a personal essay, official high school and college transcripts and your standardized test scores (ACT/SAT/TOEFL) with your application. Note: We do not charge an application fee.
