Mark Sonkin's family immigrated to the United States from Russia when he was five. Like many, his parents came in search of better opportunities for their children. Mark is making them proud. As a student at CSB/SJU, Mark studied for a year in China where he became fluent in Chinese (he's also fluent in Russian), participated in the Harvard national Model United Nations Conference, and traveled to a number of leadership workshops around the country—all while completing a major and two minors. Not surprisingly, he's planning to pursue a career in international relations and business.
