Timeline and Calendar

 

  • August 06 – Review structure, process, personnel assignments, and timeline with the presidents.
  • Fall 06 – Review structure, process, personnel assignments, and timeline with faculty at forums, i.e., October 2 and October 11.
  • Fall 06 – Present overview of structure, process, personnel assignments, and timeline to JFA.
  • Fall 06 – Present overview of structure, process, personnel assignments, and timeline to SDC and CC.
  • Fall 06 – Data collection and committee work begins.
  • October 06 – AACB reviews structure, process, personnel assignments, and timelines.
  • October 06 – AACB chair updates full joint board about the structure, process, and timeline.
  • October 06 – CSB/SJU team attends self-study workshop in Chicago.
  • Fall 06 or Spring 07 – HLC associate director is invited to campus (focused visit meeting with steering committee, five criterion committees, community at large session, and/or JFA meeting).
  • Spring 07 – Second round of data collection occurs.
  • April 07 – CSB/SJU steering committee and coordinators of five committees attend HLC annual meeting in Chicago.

Summer 2007

  • June 21 - Summer Workshop #1 (Goals, Agenda, Meeting Notes)
  • July 10 - Final outline and preliminary findings after first round of data collection due to self-study coordinator and presented to Provost.
  • July 17 - Summer Workshop #2
  • July 17 - First draft of self-study report posted on CSB/SJU Accreditation 2008 web site for internal consituency comment.
  • August 9 - Summer workshop #3
  • Send to Commission information suggesting desired team competencies for comprehensive review
  • Confirm date of visit and other organizational information.

Fall 2007

  • December 10 - Second draft inclusive of second round of data collection due to self-study coordinator and presented to Provost.
  • Identify a "hospitality director" who can begin planning for the site team visit and a "technical director" who can provide technical support to the site visit team.
  • Identify final editors of the self-study (from English Dept.).
  • Plan for mock review and site visit.

Spring 2008

  • Current draft presented to SDC and CC.
  • Participate in Workshop on Self-Study and other Annual Meeting programs (April).
  • April 10 - Final draft of each chapter received by self-study coordinator; complete document compiled and presented to Provost and Presidents.
  • April 17 - Final draft of complete self-study report posted on CSB/SJU Accreditation 2008 web site for internal and external consituency comment.
  • May - Final draft presented to the joint boards.

Summer 2008

  • June 15 - Final revisions of self-study report prepared by self-study coordinator; make sure this includes an institutional "snapshot."
  • July 31 - Submit final documents to HLC.
  • "Talking points" for HLC visit developed by steering committee.
  • Completion of resource rooms.

Fall 2008

  • Preparation of internal and external constituencies for site visit.
  • Site visit October 13-15.
  • October 13 - Hospitality reception hosted by CSB/SJU.
  • October 14 - Series of focused and open meetings with specified groups (faculty, staff, administration, students, community members); open meetings completed prior to 2pm.
  • October 15 - Site visit team meets with Presidents.

Spring 2009

  • Prepare response to site visit report.
  • Assure that recommendations from the self-study report and consultations with site visit team are incorporated into the strategic planning processes and are implemented within the proposed timeline.
